Health

Health is defined by the WHO as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease. It is a multidimensional concept covering physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Key conceptual models include biomedical, ecological, psychosocial, and holistic approaches, all emphasizing that health is influenced by genetics, environment, and lifestyle.

"Learning is a Festival" (The Pedagogy of Joy)

The campaign combats drop-out rates by reframing education as a joyful, low-stress activity, as exemplified by the diverse activities in the image.

  • Activity-Based Enrollment: Instead of testing, enrollment day is a community festival with art competitions (like the tree and elephant paintings shown) and storytelling sessions.

  • The Charpoy Library: Promote reading not as a desk-bound chore, but as a cozy, shared activity. Distribute durable, bilingual picture books (like the one the girls are sharing).

"My time at EYE has been the most fulfilling professional experience I’ve ever had. We didn't just meet our targets for this campaign; we witnessed over 1,000 children in Delhi begin a journey that will shape their futures. Working alongside such passionate colleagues and volunteers has inspired me to continue advocating for educational equity. The visible change we made here is proof that collective action can transform communities."
Aditya Vats
"Being a part of EYE has truly changed my perspective. Our last campaign, focusing on children in Delhi, wasn't just about reaching a number; it was about opening doors of opportunity for 1,016 bright young minds. Seeing their smiles on enrollment day, and witnessing the community center buzz with hope, reaffirmed my commitment to this cause. The passion of the volunteers and staff at EYE is infectious. We aren't just an NGO; we are a family dedicated to empowering the next generation."
